Foreign Investment is one of the most important sources of funds in Indian Economy. The FDI policy governed and regulated by the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) 2000 announced by the Government of India under the Reserve Bank of India (‘RBI’)

Under FDI, money from individuals or foreign companies is invested in Indian startups and established companies. Any investment made to the Indian companies by a Foreign Organization or individual that is more than 10% is considered as Foreign Direct Investment.
